Light themed science, coding, technology event as part of Southend LuminoCity Light Festival

Southend LuminoCity Light Festival returns in 2023 as one of the best free events in Southend this winter. This fantastic light festival will be brightening up the February Half Term with a series of awe-inspiring light installations that will transform Southend&#x27;s iconic landmarks, and let you experience the city in a whole new light. Check out this years<a href="https://www.southendluminocity.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> installations here</a>.On the Saturday, we&#x27;ll be running a &quot;Light Lab&quot; Raspberry Jam at Southend Library with drop in activities on the theme of light.We&#x27;re currently looking for people to volunteer to run or help with activities, show their projects and help with marshaling on the day. The booking form will ask you for more details.Drop in workshops throughout the day (to be announced) bring laptop / tablet if you can.Exhibitors showing:Lots of pretty LED light projects:Wooden laser reflection contraption controlled by electromagnetsMulti coloured LED strings and control boxDiffraction gratings, uv torchSoftware video synthesiser using Lissajous figures (created using sine waves), controlled live over MIDI.
