SOW TO SEW - Mindful Weaving course
Free indoor textiles activity. Join us for a 6-weeks course on traditional weaving techniques on small individual frame looms.
This is the final stage of our annual flax growing project which involves using up leftover yarns and other fibres from our previous harvests.
This activity is suitable for begginners. We welcome anyone that would like to learn the traditional methods of weaving in a safe and creative environment.
The course will run at 12:00 - 14:00 on Fridays on the following dates:
16 & 30 Jan
6 & 20 Feb
6 & 20 March
These are not drop-in workshops. Participants should attend all sessions to be able to complete the project and fully benefit from the slow and mindful learning process. Only 6 places available.
Weaving will be done independently on small frame looms. Participants will be encouraged to explore their own creativity and make individual textile artworks, which they will be able to keep.
