Join the Emma Press for the launch of their second poetry anthology for children, Watcher of the Skies: Poems about Space and Aliens. The book is aimed at children aged 8+, but all ages are very welcome to come along. Tea and cake will be provided! 
How big is the universe? Are there dogs in space? What if your friend – or your granddad – was an alien? Join the poets in wondering in Watcher of the Skies, a sparkling collection of poems about the outermost possibilities of space, life and our imaginations. Fully illustrated and accompanied with helpful facts about space, this is the perfect companion for any budding stargazer or astronaut. 
The event will be presented by editor Rachel Piercey and illustrator Emma Wright, and there will be poetry readings from John Canfield, Mary Anne Clark, Dom Conlon, Julie Douglas, Sarah Doyle, Cheryl Moskovitz, Dale Neal, Phil Monks, Rachael Nicholas, Richard O'Brien, Rachel Piercey, Gita Ralleigh, Lawrence Schimel, Mike Sims, Camellia Stafford, Kate Wakeling, Rob Walton and Kate Wise.
