Do I need meditation experience?

It would probably be helpful if you have some previous meditation experience. Space to Be hasn't been designed to train people how to meditate, but the sessions are guided by a facilitator - to help make sure people get the most out of their time together

Who facilitates Space to Be?

Karen Liebenguth, a master coach and mindfulness practitioner. Karen supports both organisations and individuals though her own business - Parcival

Why was Space to Be created?

Accepted Answer

Karen Liebenguth has been coaching leaders since 2007. Although people have their own unique lives and challenges - the one thing they all complain of is a lack of time and space to pause, reflect and reset. Karen has created this space for people who need it

Question 5

What is group meditation, and what makes it special?

Accepted Answer

You can meditate alone, but as many of us now work from home and spend more time alone - some people are drawn to sharing the experience with other human beings. Connecting with others, and joining a regular practice session also helps create space for accountability

Question 6

What is guided (or facilitated) group meditation?

Accepted Answer

The facilitator (Karen) will take responsibility for ensuring the session runs smoothly and that everyone gets the most from their time. Karen will begin the session with a guided breathing exercise and help keep the sessions relevant and on track

Question 7

How often are Space to Be sessions held?

Accepted Answer

Monthly. With the exception of August and December, the sessions are usually held on the second Monday (18:45 - 19:30 UK time) of each month.
