A weekly virtual co-working space for sexuality and creative solopreneurs to keep us connected and focused on growing ourselves and our work

About this event

Do you ever find yourself struggling to manage all of the essential but less exciting aspects of running your business? Endlessly avoiding things on your to-do list or getting to the end of your workday only to realise you’ve spent it following all of your distractions?

Let’s face it, being an entrepreneur means not only being on top of our game with the services we offer our clients, but also being our own a marketing consultant, salesperson, accountant, diary manager, tech support, copywriter, and more! It’s a job description that not many of us would knowingly throw our name into a hat for! No wonder it can be hard at times to be motivated and focused, especially when we spend so much of our time working alone.

We (Ali and Lex) have been pondering some ideas about how we can support each other as a community of practitioners in the fields of sexuality and other creative endeavours. After all, we are an incredibly talented bunch of people accomplished at overcoming challenges!

What we envision is a virtual co-working space that would help to keep us in connection to other humans yet focused on growing ourselves and our creations.

Perhaps we need the accountability of others gently checking in on us. Maybe there’s someone else who figured out a good solution to the tech challenge we’re having. Or sometimes we may need a space in which we can bounce some ideas around.

What we are offering is a weekly held space for two hours each Thursday (2-4 pm UK time) with the intention of “getting stuff done”.

In that time you bring whatever you need to do for your work - it could be website stuff, writing articles, admin, responding to emails, doing expenses, creative thinking, PR, marketing, planning - you choose.

In the 2 hours, we’ll set the timer for 3 x 25 mins to focus quietly while together. Before and after each 25 min session, we briefly check in with intentions and progress. We can share and encourage each other with our ideas, experience, and hopes. Over time we’ll get to know each other, we’ll have accountability and witnesses.

If people want to share 1-to-1 or have a space to brainstorm, we can also set up extra breakout rooms for this.

Let's see what we might create when we have consistency, focus, and creativity. To get on with getting on, by simply showing up at our desks in the first instance.
