Space Trash #2: La Rissa, INVADR, Geraldine Snell, Gilank
Space Trash returns to The Triangle with another night exploring the outer reaches of synthpop, ambient and darkwave.
La Rissa
Tipped as ones to watch by Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing, La Rissa are a dark-wave duo making post-punk synth pop in a dim little attic in West Yorkshire. Think of a cold-wave Lana Del Rey fronting Depeche Mode covering a Joy Division album co-written by Zola Jesus and you’re on the right path.
Winners of the Bradford Music Scene’s 2025 best band award La Rissa have been featured on BBC 6 Music and Huw Stephens' BBC Radio 1 show, BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio.
INVADR
INVADR is the solo project of electronic musician Matt Garland. As well as combining the best parts of synthpop and electro, Matt brings a glorious set of visuals which will keep you captivated throughout.
Geraldine Snell
Mesmerising, melodic, and melancholic, Geraldine's tender electronic dream-pop is often compared to the likes of Cocteau Twins, Portishead, and Julee Cruise. Crafted from looped and sampled keys, vocals, and textures, Geraldine will perform a unique set featuring songs from her third album "overlove" as well as more improvised medleys.
Gilank
Gilank are a Bradford-based experimental electro-acoustic duo consisting of Alice Gilmour and Shi Blank. They combine loopers, pedals, synths, MIDI controllers, and acoustic instruments to create a unique and dynamic sound. Their sets are fluid, and spontaneous, with each response shaping the evolving composition as they build upon each other's input.
