Dash Artsmakes new theatre, music, art and dance with international artists that challenge the way we see the world.Since May 2010, we have hosted monthly free Dash Cafés featuring live music, film, performance, readings and discussion at venues across London. Dash Cafés are intimate and informal: a chance to encounter new ideas, surprising perspectives and unusual artists who shed new light on the regions in which we work.From January 2018, Dash Arts embarks on a new journey EUTOPIA, investigating what it means to be European. We will highlight and celebrate Europe’s diversity and hidden marvels; confront generalization; and encourage new insights and fierce debate. With EUTOPIA, our Dash Cafés willfocus on different cities across wider Europe – investigating ideas, trends and artists.

The Tabernacle

<h1>Political speech is dead! Long live political speech!          </h1><h3>Speech making may be dead at Westminster, but in communities, schools, prisons and clubs across the UK it’s alive and kicking.                         </h3><h3>At The Tabernacle in London, we’re bringing together speechwriters, activists, academics and the voices of our nation to explore speech making&#x27;s ability to provoke, persuade and empower.                          </h3><h3>Hear directly from Philip Collins who wrote Tony Blair’s 2005 speech warning the European Parliament about rising right-wing populism in Europe.</h3><h3>Experience extraordinary speeches from  Shareefa Energy, poet and activist featured on BBC, Channel 4 and ITV.  They&#x27;ll be joined by journalist and academic Alan Finlayson, and Artistic Director of Dash Arts, Josephine Burton for an evening of conversation and speeches.</h3><p>Speak Out is part of a series of events in London and at HOME, Manchester this November, and the culmination of &quot;Speech Speech!&quot;, a year of AHRC funded workshops with University of Birmingham and University of East Anglia. Dash Arts will continue to be inspired by the speeches written by our national participants, with a new, state-of-the-nation theatre production in development from Writer Jude Christian and Director Josephine Burton.  </p><p>Funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), Arts Council England, Three Monkies Trust, individual giving and with support from HOME Manchester.</p><h3>https://www.dasharts.org.uk/ </h3>
