Verification of Payee - include Requestor and Responder services. While delivering Responder service could be straightforward; a Requestor service that can connect 5000+ PSPs in the SEPA region is the major challenge, which will be covered in our discussion on the day.

Will EPC help to comply with the article 5c of the Instant Payments regulation?

It will help but the EPC scheme may not be universally adopted by the banks in Europe. This could lead to coverage problems. EPC along with interoperability with other schemes could make compliance more realistic.

Can the compliance related to verification of payee be achieved in the proposed timeline?

There are many challenges, which we could discuss more in the panel. Interoperability is one of the major concerns in delivering pan-European solutions.
