THE WHITE REVIEWis an arts and literature journal, with triannual print editions and new weekly online content. The magazine launched in February 2011 to provide ‘a space for a new generation to express itself unconstrained by form, subject or genre’, and publishes fiction, poetry, essays, reviews, interviews with writers and artists, and series of artworks.The White Reviewis a registered charity (Charity Number: 1148690).

Kevin Brazil&#x27;s essay &#x27;In Search of a Gay Planet&#x27;, published in The White Review No. 28, interrogates the utopian possibilities - and dangers - of science fiction&#x27;s reproductive fantasies, from Charlotte Perkins Gilman&#x27;s Herland to the work of Octavia Butler, Lois McMaster Bujold and William Burroughs. He is joined by writers Ama Josephine Budge, Sara Saab and Sophie Mackintosh to discuss fictional world-building and the radical potential of speculative thinking.A Zoom link will be emailed to attendees on the morning of the event.
