Beam work with Artists and communities to enhance places through the development of bespoke creative arts projects. Beam is the trading name of Public Arts – an arts organisation and charity founded in 1986, based in Wakefield and working across the Yorkshire region and beyond.

Constella OperaBallet will take you on a virtual journey of enchanting performances, spinning tales through music, dance, song, theatre and design to explore &amp; celebrate Darley Abbey’s place in history and the wider Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. In partnership with Darley Abbey Day 2021, internationally renowned artists Constella OperaBallet have created an exciting series of short films featuring singers, dancers and choirs from Derbyshire and beyond. Join our live online event to watch the film premieres and meet the artists behind the project. This is a family friendly event and will be streamed live via Youtube. You’ll be able to ask questions via the interactive chat function and find out more about the trail of oversized ‘bobbin’ installations and colourful bunting that will pop up throughout the village for 2 weeks only! Once you have booked your free ticket we will use your contact details to send you a link before the 8th May for you to access the live event on Youtube.Spin a Tale is produced by Beam as part of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site Great Place Scheme thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England.
