Universal training for Cheshire school staff to increase knowledge supporting autistic pupils with sensory processing differences.

The day will cover an introduction to autism and autism inclusive strategies, as well as an introduction to the understanding of the 8 sensory systems and how they can impact on a child's day while also encouraging participants to think about their own sensory processing. We use the Person, Environment, Occupation model as a framework to support understanding through out the training. The afternoon session looks at a range of strategies for the school environment.By the end of the day you will have the tools to write a Foundation Sensory Support plan in consultation with parents, for a child in your class or school with a set aim to support the child's wellbeing.
