Spring Birdwatching

Spring Birdwatching

The Salisbury CentreEdinburgh, Edinburgh
Wednesday, April 22  •  6 PM - 7:30 PM
Overview

Kick off your spring by getting to know the birds in the Salisbury Centre's beautiful garden!

As the season changes, the Salisbury Centre's garden is buzzing with activity. Join us for a relaxed, hour-and-a-half workshop where we’ll quietly move around the space, learning to spot and identify garden birds.

We’ll have a few pairs of binoculars to borrow, but feel free to bring your own if you have them. And because this is Edinburgh in April, please come prepared for anything weather-wise—layers and waterproofs are recommended!

Once we’ve finished our watching, we’ll gather for a well-deserved cup of tea. We’ll compare what we saw, add our sightings to the garden’s biodiversity record, and chat about simple ideas to make green spaces a haven for birds.

Language: English

Target: Open to anyone with experience of migration to Scotland

Remarks:

  • Please feel free to bring your own pair of binoculars
  • Please wear weather appropriate clothing to keep you dry and warm
  • Please do let us know if you have any access requirements prior to the event
  • To help remove financial barriers to attending our event, a limited number of complimentary Lothian bus day tickets for use after the event are available upon request
  • We expect all participants to be friendly and kind, and to show respect for individual differences, including race, gender, sexual orientation, ability, religion, age, nationality, and identity
  • Disclaimer: Personal data collected will be used for this event or contact purpose solely
  • For enquiries, please email our Community Link Officer at cadence@elrec.org.uk.
