This event is in partnership with the charity Give Your Best, who are providing the majority of the clothes.Drop-off (12:30–13:00) You can drop off clothes in advance to help with the smooth running of the event. If you can’t drop off clothing in advance, that's fine, please bring it along during the event.How it worksBring up to five items of clothing to trade for tokens. Clothes must be clean and in good condition (no holes or tears, please).We will be using a token system:<ul><li>1 token for each preloved or high-street item (under £50)</li><li>2 tokens for higher-value items (over £50)</li></ul>Use your tokens as currency to choose from the preloved items available.What to bringWe accept clothing in all shapes and sizes. While we do accept children’s clothing, the swap will mainly consist of adult items.Not accepted:<ul><li>Shoes</li><li>Underwear</li><li>Swimwear</li></ul>Rules<ul><li>Please do not stand around the check‑in area.</li><li>Customers should hold on to no more than 10 items at a time - no hoarding.</li><li>Due to the size of the library, suitcases and large bags are not permitted in the clothes swap area. They may be left near the helpdesk, but this is at your own risk.</li></ul>FoodFood for the event will be available to purchase from Mahani’s Bakery, a beloved local business known for their delicious selection of sweet and savoury baked goods. Inspired by their rich Moroccan heritage and passion for quality food, Mahani’s creates treats that are both authentic and full of flavour. By enjoying their baked goods at the event, you’ll also be supporting a valued local business.Brompton Library Clothes Repair WorkshopDo you have a favourite item of clothing with a hole or tear? Bring it along to our free Clothes Repair Workshop, a free community event where you'll learn how to mend your clothes. Please bring one or two items needing repair, and Traid will guide you through fixing them. Spaces are limited, so please book in advance.
