Spring Journal Workshop

Spring Journal Workshop

Bongou CafeEdinburgh, Edinburgh
Saturday, Mar 21, 2026 from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm GMT
Overview

Come and create a beautiful journal for Spring to record the season and inspire you with creative ideas for living more seasonally.

What does Spring mean to you? Is it getting out and enjoying the lighter days and warmer weather? Is it watching nature bloom into life again with colour and blossom? Is it celebrating special days or cooking with seasonal ingredients? Whatever it means to you, living more seasonally and noticing the small daily changes in our lives and the world around us can help bring joy into our daily lives.

In this workshop we will create a beautiful journal for Spring that you can use through the season to record thoughts, ideas, observations and inspiration for living more seasonally.

We will decorate the journals with paints, papers and collage and prepare spaces and pages for you to add to over the coming months. We'll look at ways to make the most of the season and there will be lots of inspiration, from poetry and books, to nature and recipes and ways to celebrate special days. You will leave with a beautiful journal and lots of ideas for the next few months.

Each person will receive a box with a blank journal, watercolour pencils and paints, and other materials for you to continue your journalling at home. These are yours to keep. There will also be a selection of decorative papers, images, tapes and materials for you to use to personalise your journal.

We'll have a lovely day together and the course fee includes tea, coffee and sweet treats, and a delicious seasonal lunch made by Bongou Cafe.

All materials will be provided, but if there are any pens, pencils, paints or papers that you love to use, please do feel welcome to bring them along.

Your ticket includes:

  • All materials for creating your journal. Each participant will receive a blank journal and an art box containing: watercolour paints, watercolour pencils, brushes, pencils, scissors, ruler, glue, eraser, sharpener, masking tape. These are yours to take away.
  • Tea, coffee, sweet treats during the day.
  • Delicious seasonal lunch.
