Join Culture for Climate Scotland, CABN, SBCAN and Connecting Threads to think about the role of rivers in the climate crisis, as climate regulators and indicators of change, and find out what you can do to support healthy hydrology, both upstream and down, for a better world.This event is a SPRINGBOARD local assembly for creative climate action in the Scottish Borders.Culture for Climate Scotland is collaborating with Southern Uplands Partnership and many organisations across Scotland to deliver a series of local assemblies for creative climate action. This local assembly will focus on the role of rivers in the climate crisis.Agenda:This event will run from 11.30-3.30pm and includes lunch from 1-2pm. There will be comfort breaks following the morning session (12.45pm) and before the closing conversation (2.30pm).Once you have booked on to the event, we will share a full running order for the day and a form for selecting a morning workshop.You’ll select a morning workshop, before coming together for lunch, community sharings and a closing conversation.Morning (11.30-1pm)<ul><li>Join Derek Robeson, Tweed Forum, for a walk and visit to Lake Wood on the Eddleston Water.</li></ul><ul><li>Get hands on with a making workshop at the Burgh Hall</li></ul> Afternoon (1pm – 3.30pm)<ul><li>Enjoy lunch followed by a sharing from community-led groups taking local river action</li></ul><ul><li>Hear from SBCAN about the launch of a new funding round for groups in the Borders to take climate action</li></ul><ul><li>Come together for a closing conversation, share insights from the day and look to the future, with input from ecologists, climate specialists, creators and community-activists. Local assemblies are an opportunity to connect with other practitioners in your region to address climate change collectively. The events are for anyone working or volunteering in the climate or environmental sector, the arts, screen, creative industries, museums, heritage and libraries. This event is part of Tweed River Festival.
