Overview

Join us for an innovation workshop to help us design the future of Ladies, Wine and Design Newcastle and where we could go next.

Remember way back when we asked you to complete a questionnaire? Well, now we’re taking all of that lovely feedback and using it as the basis to design our future. Everyone’s favourite French friend, Dr Justine Carrion-Weiss, is joining us this month to lead a design innovation workshop to help us come together and share our ideas on where we could go next. It’s all food for thought and this is an opportunity to have your say on what LWD means to you, what you’d like to see more of, and how we can get better. Who knows where the evening will take us?

With 10 years of experience as a design practitioner-researcher, Justine is all about design’s power to reframe challenges into opportunities for a fairer and more sustainable future. You don’t need to be a designer – quite the opposite – all we ask is that you come with an open mind and enjoy the process of our collective thoughts.

As always, there’ll be a délicieux array of fromage and vin/non-alcoholic options.

As is the way these days, you need to act sharpish if you want a ticket.

Our meet-ups are inclusive and supportive spaces and we welcome anyone who’s creative (in whatever form that takes) to join us. We also recognise that our male allies can support our cause further by hearing the thoughts and opinions voiced at our get-togethers. We only ask that our guests respect the inclusive atmosphere and continue to engage in discussion and idea generation for the promotion and support of equal opportunities for female and non-binary identifying creatives.
