Event description
A unique way to discover Spurn's incredible wildlife and history!

About this event

Our Spurn Safari tour will take you on a memorable journey across this unique landscape aboard a specially adapted ex-military, 4x4 truck – the Unimog. You'll hear tales of the peninsula’s fascinating military and maritime history, expertly told by our knowledgeable and friendly guides.

The three-hour trip also includes a visit to the top of northern England’s tallest lighthouse.

What to bring/wear

Dress for the weather (it can be very cold and exposed at Spurn, so bring plenty of layers!) and wear sturdy footwear.

Toilets and catering

There are toilets (including an accessible toilet) and a café at the Spurn Discovery Centre, serving both hot and cold food. There are also toilets at The Point.

Covid-19 measures

Please visit our Spurn Discovery Centre page to read about Yorkshire Wildlife Trust's Covid-19 measures in response to the latest government guidance.  Please be considerate to other event attendees and continue to be cautious.

Joining us on the day

Please meet at the Spurn Safari vehicle, located beside the road gate to the nature reserve (approx. 300 metres walk from Spurn Discovery Centre car park).

There is a £5 parking charge, which helps us to maintain the centre and look after the reserve. There is free parking for Wildlife Trust members who display their up-to-date membership card on their car dashboard.

Our address is Spurn Discovery Centre, Spurn Road, Kilnsea, Hull HU12 0UH. See our website for further directions!
