Join Nicki McCubbing and guest artist Jenny Pengilly for this week's Squish!
Jenny will lead a session exploring all the wonderful things paper can do! We’ll roll, scrunch, tear, wrap and move with paper, discovering the exciting sounds it makes along the way. Through sound, song, movement and play, we’ll record our crinkles, rustles and rips, then listen back together to create a unique collective paper themed album.
Artist-led creative, slow, sensory play. Squish offers young children and their carers creative play experiences that nurture connection at a gentler, slower pace. We make and use natural, sustainable, easy to access materials such as homemade play-dough to squish, dens to construct and hide in and coloured rice to shake.
Jenny Pengilly is a multidisciplinary artist working in learning and social engagement. She focuses on the use of affective materials and making to facilitate play, experimentation, collaboration and mutual growth and exchange with children, young people, families and adults.
Designed for children aged 0 - 3. Siblings welcome.
Please book for every child and adult attending.
