SRUFC Networking Event

Business networking with some Rugby thrown in!

Scunthorpe Rugby Union Football Club (SRUFC) are holding their first Business Networking event of 2026.

This event will include presentations, networking opportunities, a free buffet and more!

Brief presentations include:

• Tony Wilkinson, SRUFC Director of Rugby giving an overview of the great game just in time for the six nations starting. If you know nothing about Rugby Union but would like to, this presentation will be for you. Tony will also update the room on a very successful school's recruitment project
• Martin O'Hara from O'Hara Financial. Martin will be discussing options available for individuals who play sports at a weekend and who worry it might impact on their business or day job. Useful info for those Small businesses with staff who play.
• Ongo Recruitment. There's a lot of uncertainty in the business community at the moment but this doesn't mean recruitment has to be on hold. Ongo Recruitment will be discussing ways businesses can recruit during uncertain times.
• Supply Chain Network - There's a new way to ensure you use a local supply chain and support local businesses. Karen Locking from Evolve Business Developments (And SRUFC) will update businesses how they can get involved with this new initiative from over the bridge!

The evenings timetable will be:

18:30 - 19:00 - Meet, mingle, teas and coffee / watch Senior club train if you wish

19:00 - 20:00 - Presentations as above.

20:00 - 20:15 - SRUFC Season Update

20:15 - 21:00 - Then there's time to network with other businesses in the room & enjoy a delicious buffet from Heslam Park.
