SSN Strategy Launch

Sustainable Scotland Network (SSN) is the public sector network for climate change and sustainability professionals. SSN supports collaboration and builds capacity to improve public sector action on climate change and sustainability. SSN is supported by the Scottish Government, local government, Public Health Scotland and NatureScot. Join us on the 16th September as we launch SSN’s new strategy, setting out the vision, aims and themes for supporting member action.

We are excited to announce the launch of SSN’s new strategy which sets the vision, aims, and themes for supporting member action under three key programmes: <ul><li>Collaborating to help create Net Zero Places </li></ul><ul><li>Influencing towards Net Zero Indirect Emissions </li></ul><ul><li>Networking to achieve Net Zero Public Sector Organisations. </li></ul>Each programme will engage members and leaders in understanding the priority challenges and co-designing resources to facilitate public sector action on the climate emergency while supporting a resilient recovery from the global COVID-19 pandemic. As part of a full agenda, The Scottish Government will provide an update on the latest climate policy developments including the recently announced Programme for Government and green recovery plans. Members will also hear about climate leadership initiatives including the Climate Emergency Response Group.
