St Albans Support Group
Come and join us at St Albans Support Group
We would love to welcome you to our in-person monthly support group in St Albans!
We are also pleased to have our Lending SPACE team coming with lots of equipment ready to borrow!
Our support group is open to all parents/carers/families who are raising children and young people with neurodiverse conditions including autism and ADHD.
Your child/young person does not need a diagnosis in order for you to access our groups, and the support group is FREE to attend.
Booking is not essential but if you do book a place via Eventbrite it helps us to anticipate numbers.
SPACE staff, Mel and Suzie will be ready and waiting to welcome you alongside our guest speaker Liz Stanley. In this session we will look at Social Communication and Interaction and how it manifests in Autism and ADHD. We will cover, What is Social Communication and Interaction and look at the differences between communication styles in Autism and ADHD. We will also cover Friendships and discuss why Autistics and those with ADHD can struggle in these areas. We will finish with a look at some ways to support autistics and those with ADHD with communication and interaction.
We are a friendly, knowledgeable and supportive team, and the SPACE staff are all SEN parents ourselves, so we really do understand the high's and lows of raising children with neuro-developmental differences.
Teas, coffees and biscuits are all provided!
**Please note - we cannot accommodate children at this support group. Email events@spaceherts.org.uk if you have any questions**
