<P>The University of St Andrews Research Computing Network is intended to bring together people from across the University who develop software for research, across all schools and units. The initiative started with <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/libraryblog/2016/02/do-you-write-software-for-research/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">a post</A> on the St Andrews University Library blog, which had an excellent <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/libraryblog/2016/03/research-computing-network-update/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">response</A>. We want to understand what it is like to develop software for research at St Andrews, and what reasonable steps can be taken to improve that situation.</P>
<P>With this event, we'd like to bring as many Network members together in one room as possible. This is an event for members, by members, facilitated by the Library. Contribute to the development of the programme <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="https://github.com/StAResComp/rescomp-network-launch" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">on GitHub</A>.</P>
