Thank you for choosing Venice Free Walking Tour!The night tour starting in Piazza San Marco under the bell tower, has been created to let you discover the amazing square in the delightful atmosphere of the early evening. Imagine the beauty of the sunset on the charming Doge’s Palace facade! The soft, relaxing colors of the evening and the little lights of boats and street lamps reflecting on the water will prepare the scene and create the perfect atmosphere for an ispiring tour. You will learn about the fascinating history of the sqaure’s main buildings as well as many other interesting curiosities and anecdotes.

What’s the difference between this tour and the other ones that you provide?

The St.Mark’s Sq. Tour lasts approximately 1 hour and it’s an insight about this area of the city only. The guides will focus on the square itself and on the buildings situated in the square, including the Basilica of St.Mark and the Doge’s Palace.

Why should I do this tour?

This is the perfect tour for those who want to appreciate and learn more about this area of the city through the eyes of a local. Also, our guides always try to focus your attention on details and anecdotes that people normally wouldn’t get to know otherwise.

Do I have to do the other tours first, to fully enjoy this one?

No, all the guides provide a historical background of the city in the beginning of the tour so you can do it even if you haven’t done any other tour with our company yet.

The meeting point: st. Mark’s square, beside the skip the line entrance of st mark’s bell tower that faces the clock tower(https://venicefreewalkingtour.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_9944.jpg)

Due to huge increase of tourism in the last weeks St. marks square is extremely noisy and to provide you the highest quality tours we suggest you to rent the receiver. Receiver is not obligatory, but it’s highly recommended. Price for the receiver is 1,5€ per person.You can use your own headset if you have it (JACK type), otherwise it will be available to buy for 1€ before the tour. Both items will be available to rent/buy before the tour and are provided by the external company.

*Please reach the meeting point 10 minutes before the starting time of the tour to complete the booking procedures (2) * It's not necessary to print the ticket, email confirmation on your phone is enough for us - we care about the trees ! :) * if it is raining on your date, please put on some waterproof boots or water-resistant shoes and have an umbrella (3)

Venice Free Walking Tour nor the guide will not be held responsible in any way for injuries to body and property incurred during tours. Venice is different than any other place, it might be difficult to get oriented and you might get lost several times, please give yourself a reasonable amount of time to reach the meeting point IN TIME. We would highly suggest downloading google map and putting the exact GPS coordinates on it.

We care about our attendees and really don't want you to become wet and spoil your trip to Venice only because of rain or the high tide. Make your rest comfortable.
