Carousel Printmaking Studio is an accessible community space providing opportunities for artists and the wider community to access quality printmaking equipment facilities and education. Though volunteer led we also offer work opportunities to local artists and educators through our programme of regular practical workshops.

About this courseJoin printmaker Joanna Veevers for this fun afternoon short workshop. First cutting your own small stamps from rubber, you will create repeat patterns on paper and card to produce greetings cards and a small book.This course is suitable for beginners or those looking to experiment with stamp printing within their practice.

<h3>What will I need to bring?</h3>All materials will be provided but if you have a particular paper you would like to use please bring it with you.Please bring suitable folder or bag to take work home in. Please wear old clothes as printing can get messy. Aprons will be provided.You may wish to bring a packed lunch. Teas, coffee and biscuits are provided.

<h3>About the Tutor</h3>Joanna Veevers was born in Sheffield, grew up in Hathersage, and studied printed textiles at Manchester School of Art and Ceramics at the Royal College of Art. Her established practice crosses disciplines, making use of the drawn surface, print, ceramics and mixed media to explore ideas about accumulation and collection, memory, repetition and the creative process. She has taught for many years across short courses, workshops, learning projects and in higher education.

<h3>About Carousel Print Studio</h3>Carousel Print Studio is a not for profit charity based on the ground floor of Yorkshire Art Space, Exchange Place Studios in Sheffield. Carousel provide printmaking workshops and facilities for creatives in Sheffield, in a bright, warm, accessible and well equipped studio and in community settings.Carousel studio is located on the ground floor just to the left of reception. The doors are widened for ease of access and there is an accessible toilet.
