Start-up Ecosystem Workshop
Event Information
Description
The Knowledge Quarter and UCL Innovation and Enterprise are conducting research into the start-up ecosystem of the local area; what factors contribute to it? What problems do start-ups encounter? What could be done to better develop a start-up ecosystem within the area? How important are things like affordable workspace, mentoring or transport links?
This workshop aims to bring together the main players in the ecosystem - the start-ups! We need your help to gain insight into what it's like to start a business in the Knowledge Quarter so we can inform the councils, developers and our partners on how best they can support the thriving start-up community.
In an hour long session, we hope you'll be able to answer some of our questions and in return we'll provide breakfast and oppourtunities to win prizes. We hope you'll be able to make it!
The event will be taking place in the Pantry Space. Please ask for the Knowledge Quarter Start-up Workshop at reception.
This research into start-up ecosystems came about as a result of the Science and Innovation Audit which can be read about here
If you have any questions about the research, please contact the project researcher, Jemima Barnes: jemima.barnes@bl.uk
