This peer networking event is the perfect place for anyone looking to start a business!You will have the chance to network with like-minded, local people looking to become business owners. Talk, connect, and share your experiences to kickstart your local network!This session will help you build your confidence and knowledge to push your business idea to the next step. You will get the chance to hear from industry experts talking you through the "ifs, buts, and whats" when registering as self-employed and from an inspiring guest speaker talking through their own entrepreneurial journey.Guest S﻿peaker: Francezka, founder of “Choux Box”Francezka first came to The Women’s Organisation in August of 2022. She was working for a large business in Liverpool which specialised in manufacturing cake decorating products and ingredients, but she had a dream to set up her own Vegan Choux Pastry Products business. With qualifications in bakery and cake decoration (as well as a degree in Japanese!!) Francezka felt well equipped to run her own business. As she was facing redundancy in December of that year, she felt that this was a great time to start developing her recipes and get support to start and run the business successfully.She was assigned a business adviser at The Women’s Organisation, and they worked together to ensure that Francezka had knowledge, training, and support to get started.Francezka accessed courses in Business Planning, Bookkeeping, Tax and National Insurance, and Social Media Marketing. She received support with financial planning, market research, and how to register the business, and successfully registered as self-employed and launched her business “Choux Box” in January 2023. Francezka is now perfecting her recipes and working on site with the team at Bisque-It Café (the onsite Café at The Women’s Organisation) to provide their vegan sweet treats and pastries. Francezka felt that with support from The Women’s Organisation, the business-start up experience was a lot easier than first expected.
