About this event

What is it?

We are delighted to welcome you to our Startup First Steps social mixer for Glasgow and the West region!

This will be a relaxed, informal meetup, so come for the coffee, cakes and a good chat, stay for the networking and to build lasting, valuable connections!

Who is the event for?

This is a private event for all current participants and alumni from the Startup First Steps course.

What can I expect?

This is an informal meetup for the Winter ‘24 cohort of Startup First Steps and alumni of Startup First Steps. Come along to see your regional hub, and connect with others taking part in the course.

The Codebase Glasgow community team (Marj, Chaz, and Bradley), will be there to help you feel at home and provide insight into the Glasgow tech ecosystem. There will be networking opportunities and light refreshments.

In addition, we will be joined by Gavin Smyth, Tech Ecosystem Manager for Glasgow City Council, who will be there to share a regional introduction, information on his role and some wider opportunities and information on ecosystem activity across the city.

Registration

We ask everyone to sign up individually, so we can have an estimate of how many people want to attend; this will allow us to prevent food waste by avoiding over-catering. Please cancel your ticket if you are no longer able to attend.

We will also check-in each person on Eventbrite as they join the event so make sure you've signed up to the event in order to attend!

We also encourage everyone to sign up individually so we know of any accessibility requirements in advance.

Tickets are very limited so be sure to register!
