To get from brilliant idea to profitable scale, you need a technology stack that is low cost, high value, and flexible. There are many choices for rapid development, but you need a stack that survives your success without months of fail whales. • Join us on 28 April from 6.30 pm. We will begin with Elixir Alchemist and Basho Senior Architect Torben Hoffmann and devops consultant Bryan Hunt giving an overview of the technologies. They will demonstrate with practical examples the simplicity of building online with Elixir, Phoenix, and Riak.

• Startups MyMeds&Me and Mainframe will each give an overview of their architectures, how they work with Elixir and which challenges they had to face.

• Bonus: For those who will want hands-on experience, Rob Martin will teach a free Elixir workshop on Friday evening 29 April and Saturday 30 April all day - at Erlang Solutions’ headquarters.

Elixir Workshop - Rob Martin 29-30 April

Elixir and Phoenix lean out your initial development, get you more runway, and lower your long-term maintenance costs. This workshop helps you set up a development environment, explore the power of programming in Elixir and Phoenix, and then using Mob Programming, build a real-world app.

It takes place on Friday evening and all day Saturday:

• Friday evening 6:30 pm(2-3 h), you'll install the language and a lightweight development environment and start coding in a large group, to get a feel for what Elixir is and how it ticks.
• On Saturday 9:00 am (6h), you'll break out into mob programming - six to eight people solving one problem on one keyboard and one screen while everyone contributes.

Please note: there are limited places for this workshop and you can join the Saturday session only if you attended on Friday. Book early to avoid dissapointment :)
