Staying Curious: The Enigma of Pain
Overview
The North British Pain Association is a charitable organisation of professionals with an interest in scientific pain management, whose aim is to promote education and research to encourage a greater awareness of the importance of pain management.
The Biannual Scientific Meetings are aimed at people working with people who live with chronic pain, as well as people with lived experiences of pain, living and working within the North of England and Scotland. The meetings provide an opportunity to hear from a range of speakers on topics relevant to pain management.
This meeting is about Staying Curious: The Enigma of Pain. We hope to pique your interest with a varied array of speakers who will discuss the complexities of chronic pain and its management.
Topics that will be discussed and explored on the day include the challenges of medicine and surgery for chronic pain conditions, pain and functional neurological disorders, the links with chronic pain and politics. We have a really varied list of speakers for this event (full agenda to follow shortly).
In addition, we will hear from a number of poster presenters on a variety of topics relating to the event.
