This September, Millennium Point and Stemettes invite you to a STEMtastic virtual hackathon with a theme of Health and Technology! Stemettes Hack Midlands @ Millennium Point is an online two-day event that will tap into your creativity and equip you with the skills to imagine a better future. We’ll be focusing on health and technology and how we can improve the way we live for a better future for us and the planet. You&#x27;ll work in teams with your peers to identify a health-related issue and design a product or business solution for it.Throughout the weekend, you&#x27;ll be able to interact with STEM role models and learn about health and technology through their knowledge and expertise. The role models will be there to inspire your approach to the ideas you will develop during the hack.We will kick off the weekend together then work in smaller groups on some STEMtastic business and product ideas. We will take a break for lunch and finish the day off with a special Stemettes showcase on the 19th September, during which you will present your ideas to a panel of judges - we will be giving away some exciting prizes to the winning groups and goodie bags to all participants! Owned by Millennium Point Charitable Trust, everything Millennium Point do as a landlord, events venue, meeting place and facilitator feeds back into their charity, in order to give back and support science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) related projects, initiatives, organisations and individuals across the West Midlands.
