Run or Walk with Pentecost Care & Foodbank Victoria — 100% of the proceeds donated while YOU earn free food & drinks from local businesses!
Step-A-Thon is a community fundraising and awareness event dedicated to tackling food insecurity across Victoria. Presented in partnership with Pentecost Care and Foodbank Victoria, the event invites participants of all fitness levels to turn every step into real impact for families facing food insecurity.
Whether you run, jog, or walk, every participant plays a part in raising vital funds and awareness for one of our community's most pressing issues.
How It Works
- Run or Walk — choose your own pace and distance; this event is inclusive and open to all ability levels.
- 100% of Proceeds to Foodbank Victoria and Pentecost Care — every dollar raised from registrations and donations goes directly toward the Foodbanks mission of providing food relief to Victorians in need.
- Steps That Give Back — participants can redeem their tracked steps for free food and drinks from participating local Melbourne vendors at multiple checkpoints.
Why It Matters
Food insecurity affects thousands of Victorian households, many of whom struggle silently with access to consistent, nutritious food. This event exists to:
- Shine a spotlight on the scale of food insecurity in our local community
- Raise essential funds to support Foodbank's ongoing relief efforts
- Celebrate and support Melbourne's local food and drink vendors by connecting them with the community
