Step Into Practice (barristers): BPP Manchester
Join our upcoming skills-boosting event for aspiring barristers.
Securing pupillage is a highly competitive process, and students need more than strong academics. Chambers want candidates who can think on their feet, communicate with confidence, analyse complex problems, and demonstrate sound professional judgement. This event gives you the chance to build those skills, widen your network, and hear from legal experts in a supportive and practical environment.
Join us at your nearest BPP University Law School for Step into Practice (barristers); a fantastic afternoon of interactive workshops led by BTC tutors and careers advisors, to help prepare you for chambers recruitment events that you will attend in the future.
What to expect:
· Interactive advocacy exercises designed to mirror real pupillage tasks
· Practical feedback you can use immediately in interviews and applications
· Insights from practising barristers on what makes a standout pupil
· Networking opportunities with lawyers, over dinner + drinks
Why you should attend - you’ll leave with:
· A clearer understanding of what chambers’ value in graduates
· Stronger examples for applications and interviews
· Increased confidence in your advocacy skills
· New connections with peers and practitioners
This event is for undergraduate law students who want to strengthen their employability and gain the edge in the recruitment process — whether you’re just starting to explore career options or preparing for pupillage applications.
