Step into the New Year: RESET Workshop: Somatic Dance + Sound Ritual
For health, healing + wild connection. Using somatic dance + sound to learn about the nervous system and tap into the wild, expressive body
Our Step into the New Year RESET workshop is dedicated to movement, attention, and creative expression.
The RESET workshop offers a somatic and sound-driven approach to movement, supporting participants to find autonomy in when and how they move, how they touch, and create, while exploring RESET's 4-pillers: The ritual container, The ecstatic-wild state, Sound as a tool for creative expression, and the collective.
RESET invites both structure and freedom. Through guided improvisation and sound, participants are encouraged to move at their own pace, exploring how dance can nurture regulation, imagination, and presence. The practice welcomes newcomers, returning movers, and professionals interested in expanding their improvisation skills within a supportive environment.
This workshop will be facilitated by Galit Criden, with contributions from Rosalind (Rosie) Noctor, who will bring her ILAN LEV METHOD (ILM) practice into dialogue with RESET. Together, they will guide participants through an immersive process of deep listening and movement exploration as we begin the year.

Facilitators
Galit Criden
Galit is a choreographer and somatic movement practitioner with over 17 years of experience. Her facilitation is trauma-informed and integrates influences from Polyvagal Theory, mindfulness, and contemporary dance. She holds a Dancing for Parkinson’s qualification from People Dancing UK, and her RESET method draws on her ongoing research into embodied practice, care, and autonomy in movement.
Rosalind Noctor
Rosie is a movement artist and facilitator whose Ilan Lev Method ( LM) invites participants to cultivate awareness and discover new ways of relating through movement.
What to Expect
The session will begin with a warm-up and a series of gentle somatic prompts to invite awareness and presence into the body. Galit and Rosie will offer a simple introduction to Polyvagal Theory and the ILM, exploring how we can get to know our nervous systems and find ways to learn about it through movement.
We will move through exercises involving touch, gentle movement, and deep listening, gradually expanding into fuller, more expressive and wild movement around the space. Participants will be guided throughout, with opportunities to reflect, share, and connect.
By the end of this two-hour workshop, you can expect to leave feeling renewed and grounded, with a clearer sense of self, and a few somatic tools to integrate into your daily life. The session offers space to reconnect with your own rhythm and autonomy — in how you move, listen, and feel.

As a dance practice, RESET calls for an alive experience; wild, untamed, unapologetic. It begins slowly, inviting you inward through deep listening, but once it unfolds, it opens the gates into your body and your creativity.
The ritual container is the main framework in which we move. In each session, in a way, it’s like you’re entering a ceremony. You enter heavy, full of life’s weight and the emotions you carry, and gradually let the body speak, letting your mind, words, and explanations rest for an hour. You leave lighter, clearer, more connected, more alive.
The relationship with the ritual is carried through the session.
