The Step Up Network CIC, the award-winning network and social enterprise for educational leaders is pleased to bring another face-to-face event to our community. This builds on two years of hard work by our volunteer team.

This year our Summer Lead meet event is taking place in Birmingham. We held our first lunch and lead meet in Birmingham in October 2023 and our recent leadership day in Wolverhampton in March 2025. You can see highlights of these events on our website and our YouTube channel.

This event is being sponsored by the Institute of Leadership and brought to you by the Step Up Network.

Frequently asked questions

Is there disabled access to the venue?

Yes. Step Up only uses venues where there is disabled access.

Can children attend?

Yes, children can attend for free, however, there are no childcare facilities. We do ensure there are quiet spaces and spaces for baby changing and breastfeeding.

Do you have quiet spaces?

Yes, we always have designated quiet places, contact a member of the volunteer team on the day who will guide you.

I have dietary requirements, who do I tell?

We will reach out to you a few weeks before and we will take care of this.

I’m coming on my own, is this ok?

Yes, of course, many people attend our events on their own and leave with many connections, and even friends!

How can you get to the venue via public transport?

The nearest railway station is Birmingham Moor Street Station and Birmingham New Street station is a short walk away. There are multiple bus stops and routes nearby.

Is there an onsite car park?

No, but there are lots of on-street parking and nearby car parks.
