You are invited to join STFC and the Community in a conversation around our future Net Zero priorities.

Daresbury Laboratory

Invited speakers will help to shape the conversation by offering fascinating insight from real world case studies, which are driving Net Zero. We are delighted to announced the following speakers will be joining us on the day:<ul><li>James Johnson, Head of the Net Zero Hub, Liverpool City Region</li><li>Louis Barson, Director of Science, Innovation and Skills, Institute of Physics</li><li>Professor Nick Brook, PVC Research, Manchester Metropolitan University</li><li>Professor Joseph Howe, Executive Director, Thornton Energy Research Institute, University of Chester</li><li>Denise Massey, Managing Director, Energy Innovation Centre</li><li>Dr. Dawn Geatches, Knowledge Transfer Manager, Innovate UK and Go Zero researcher, part of the UKRI Net Zero Digital Research Infrastructure Scoping Project</li><li>Joseph Weston, Business Development (Net Zero) at The Hartree Centre for High Performance Computing, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence technologies</li><li>Sam Adlen, CSO, Satellite Applications Catapult</li></ul>Following this, time will be available for you and your colleagues to consider Net Zero in the context of your own research and project groups.There will also be plenty of time for informal networking over refreshments and lunch.Why attend?• Gain a broader understanding of Net Zero challenges and opportunities• Consider how your research practice could be shaped by Net Zero opportunities• Inform the development of a STFC Net Zero seed fund• Help STFC explore how it can enable the Community to develop solutions for Net ZeroWho should attend?• Researchers from STFC’s University Community seeking to understand more about Net Zero or who already working in the Net Zero space• STFC researchers and scientists• Early career researchersFull programme details will shortly be made available on the registration siteNumbers are limited by venue capacity so please register by Monday 14 NovemberYou will be able to join via zoom and details will be included in the joining instructions, which will be made available shortly.
