Overview

Book on this course to learn how to address stigmatising practice through anti stigma strategies

The course is aimed at health and social care professionals and people with lived experience who support people in Newcastle upon Tyne. It will help participants who are keen to consider the stigmatising aspects of their own practice and will help them to constructively challenge others. If the people you are working with are not accessing support in Newcastle please contact your local Public Health team for courses in your area.


The aims of the course are to provide participants with;


· An awareness and understanding of stigma,

· Stigmatic processes and their impact

· The effectiveness of anti-stigma interventions

· Skills and knowledge to implement anti stigma interventions and training


Please note

If a worker or a volunteer is from an organisation that supports people in Newcastle upon Tyne but the worker or volunteers does not live or work in Newcastle upon Tyne they will still be eligible. Unfortunately, we do not have funding to offer places to people who do not support people accessing help in Newcastle upon Tyne.
