Stirling - Child Rescue & Migration

Stirling’s Whinwell Children’s Home sent over 150 orphans and destitute children to Canada and Australia between the late 1800s and early 1900s. Both boys and girls were sent abroad, with the intention that they would have better lives. However, that didn’t always turn out to be the case.
