Stitching Ashbourne – Community Sewing Session

Monday 16th February | 10:30am – 12:00pm

Come and be part of the final stage of the Stitching Ashbourne project by helping to sew together the community-made panels.

Stitching Ashbourne will become a triptych of three large patchwork panels, created from 174 donated squares. We now need helping hands to join these together and bring the artwork to life.

If you enjoy sewing and would like to contribute to a special community artwork, we’d love you to join us.

Who can take part

  • Basic sewing machine skills are required
  • Ages 13+ (Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)

What you’ll be doing

  • Sewing together pre-prepared patchwork sections
  • Working alongside members of the Central Panel Sewing Circle
  • Helping create a permanent community artwork for Ashbourne

What to bring

  • All materials and equipment will be provided
  • The cafe will be closed, please bring your own refreshments.

Booking is essential – places are limited.
