Stitching Together Good Practice Guidelines launch

An informal online event to mark the launch of the Stitching Together network's Good Practice Guidelines publication

The <a href="https://stitchingtogether.net/good-practice-guidelines/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Stitching Together Good Practice Guidelines</a> provide advice for facilitators of participatory textile making workshops and projects, including professional textile practitioners, artists, academic researchers, people working within museums and galleries, community activists and amateur enthusiasts.The publication will be freely available from the <a href="https://stitchingtogether.net/good-practice-guidelines/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Stitching Together website</a> from late November, and we will also be distributing free printed copies.We invite all those involved in the development of the guidelines, those who shared images of their projects for the publication, Stitching Together network members and anyone else interested in participatory textile making activities to join us for an informal online celebration! Between 4pm and 5pm GMT, Emma Shercliff and Amy Twigger Holroyd, co-ordinators of the Stitching Together network, will talk through the guidelines and their hopes for how they will be used. We&#x27;re also looking forward to welcoming a number of contributors to the guidelines – including Catherine Reinhart, Lynn Setterington, Rosa Tolnov Clausen, Sarah Brown, Katie Smith, Hinda Mandell, Mah Rana and Lindy Richardson – to talk about their projects and practices.For those able and keen to stick around, from 5pm to 5.30pm we&#x27;ll host an &#x27;after-party&#x27;: an opportunity to talk in smaller groups about your own experiences and interests in participatory textile making.
