STOMP – Stop Over Medicating People with a Learning Disability, Autism or bothhttps://www.england.nhs.uk/learning-disabilities/improving-health/stomp/ Adults, children and young people with a learning disability may be prescribed a wide range of medication which may be essential for their health but can cause problems if taken for too long, the dose is too high, or if the person does not have the health condition for which the medication is intended, resulting in serious side effects like weight gain, tiredness or ill health. Morning •	Update on the national STOMP strategy •	The STOMP game that encourages people with a learning disability and their circle of support to ask questions we all should ask about medication •	The amazing MiXiT theatre company, which includes people with a learning disability, will present the STOMP story, commissioned by NHS EnglandLunch by Aspire Growing, people with a learning disability who work in our market garden and two cafés, learning skills in horticulture and catering Afternoon•	Herefordshire Council Learning Disability Team present their experience of medication reduction planning •	Families’ perspectives of the process •	The impact of Positive Behaviour Support The objective of the day is to raise awareness of the outcomes achieved by people through effective partnership working and to inspire everyone to make a commitment to the STOMP initiative by making a personal or organisational pledge. Parking at the venue is limited but pay and display car parks within easy walking distance are : Bus Station car park HR1 2BL, Union Walk car park HR1 2BL and Merton Meadow car park HR4 9HE
