Join us for a Storage Basket Weaving Workshop where you can learn to create your very own beautiful basket!

Storage basket weaving workshop

Create your very own storage basket using traditional weaving techniques. Learn about different types of willow, how they are grown and processed, and the tools you need for basket weaving.

During the day you will learn and practise a variety of different weaves. You will construct a round base using a pairing weave, followed by waling, and construct the sides using a weave called French randing. Top it off with some integral handles if you wish, and a woven border! This event is perfect for beginners and seasoned weavers alike.

All materials are included in the course price and tools will be provided.

Throughout the day refreshments will be provided including a delicious lunch. Please arrive in time to start promptly to ensure you have time to finish your basket.
