The Stranded Photo Challenge is a drop-in, self-guided activity inspired by the novels of local author, Sarah Daniels.
She invites young people to step into a survival story and document their experience through photography.
Participants take on the role of someone stranded in an unknown place. Using a series of creative prompts, they explore the festival space, capture images, and build a visual narrative of survival, danger, and hope.
Format: Flexible drop-in activity
Age Range: 10+ (family-friendly)
• Pick up a challenge card from The Reading Room, The George Centre.
•Complete at least 3 of 5 photo prompts around the festival
• Upload their images via QR code
• Completed entries are entered into a prize draw
• The activity is designed to be flexible and accessible, allowing participants to engage independently or in small groups.
