<h3>Strandline</h3> Hello!Local artists/musicians Emma Welton &amp; Steve Sowden here with news of an exciting new Paignton-centric, creative adventure for all local folk to get involved with.The creative team behind last October's Paignton Lights street performance at the iconic Picture House are thrilled to announce ‘Strandline’, a new project for 2024, which continues our journey into &amp; around the beating heart(s) of Paignton.We're planning regular meetups at Paignton's historic Liberal Club; the triangular, cupola-topped building that marks where Victoria Street, Palace Avenue, Dartmouth, Totnes &amp; Torquay roads come together. Therein, Emma &amp; I invite you to find Paignton’s “history from below” with us, by exploring the oldest parts of town to unearth hidden sounds, tales, perspectives, music, images &amp; much more. We can’t wait to see what story unfolds…Extending from May to October, the Strandline journey to make something wonderfully new &amp; different is about to begin in earnest.If you cannot make the first event, you are very welcome to join us further down the (Strand)line – our be-ins will take place on a fortnightly basis, the 2nd workshop will be at the same time/place on Saturday 25th May.All Strandline workshops are free of charge.
