STRIDE 2017

Dance Manchester is the dance development organisation for Greater Manchester. We are a small registered charity working to increase access to dance and raise the profile of dance in the area.We take high quality dance as a creative art form direct to the public, delivered by professional dance artists. We provide opportunities to take part in dance, to watch dance and to perform.We specialise in developing and presenting dance outdoors and in unusual spaces, aiming to give more people a chance to experience dance.We believe that dance also contributes to improved health and wellbeing, reduces isolation and helps people to make new friends, improves physical fitness and supports weight loss and builds self-confidence and achievement.We believe that dance is for EVERYONE.Dance Manchester receives core funding from Greater Manchester Combined Authority and fundraise for activites through project grants, trusts and funds, sponsorship and donations.We welcome donations to support our work and enable us to offer dance opportunities to more people who otherwise wouldn't take part due to social or economic reasons.Dance Manchester is a registered charity.For general enquiries: Tel: 0161 232 7179 or info@dancemanchester.org.uk

<P>STRIDE 2017 ends with an inspiring site-specific boys' dance performance at the beautiful New Adelphi Building. Presented by Dance Manchester & Company Chameleon, the annual project has brought together over 30 young men (aged 10-20) from across Gtr Manchester to transform the University of Salford's brand-new building. Follow them as they transform it into a physical playground & be astounded by the masculinity, & yet sensitivity, of their performance.</P>

<P><SPAN>STRIDE is a completely free project. </SPAN>Free dance classes for the schools. Free for the young men & their parents to be part of STRIDE. Free for you to come & watch the performances. As a charity, we rely 100% on funding & donations from generous people. Although tickets are free, we'd be very gracious if you could donate the cost of a ticket.</P>
