The best place to park is at the nearby Galleries Shopping Centre parking. You can exit from the Union Street exit (or via Waterstones) and the venue is right across the street.

I'm not very good at bowling, is that an issue?

Not at all! It's just to better enable business connections, through a more social environment. As long as you are happy to try some pizza, attempt to get the ball near the pins, and chat to people you will be fine!
