Nicola Coultard – Winner of CIPD Tees Valley Student Award 2019 for the MSc HRM level 7 (part time). Nicola shared ‘after a varied career across the public sector and having had my family, I decided I wanted to build a career and spent a long time deciding what that would be. With varying experiences with managing staff and supporting people, and lots of transferable skills, HR felt like the right choice and an application for the HRM went in. At the Easter of my second year, I got my first role as a HR Consultant and loved it! Since then, I've experienced HR Manager role and now a HR Lead, all within family run SMEs, and I know HR is where I want to be’.
