Description
Join our Microsoft Student TECHathon and see what it takes to build an IT infrastructure from scratch. Everyone will finish the event with a prize and new knowledge about Microsoft technologies. 
All you have to do is bring your laptop. We'll provide the rest: location, food & drinks, mentors to assist you along the way.
 
The best teams will be awarded with some cool prizes.
 
Microsoft technologies that we will use:
- Azure
- Active Directory
- Exchange Server
- System Center Configuration Manager
- SQL Server
 
If you have knowledge about one or more of the above technologies, join and contribute to your team's success. Internet resources are allowed.
Guided by a Microsoft mentor, compete in a team of three against other teams, by building a complete IT infrastructure for a virtual company.
Register and answer the questions on the registration form so you can get the chance to be selected as a member in one of the competing teams. Deadline: 13.November.2017-09:00
If you want to prepare beforehand so you have a bigger chance:
Each team's challenge will be to build a working enterprise-level infrastructure by reaching the following milestones:
Active Directory
Promote one server to a domain controller
Create Organizational Units, Users,
Configure GPOs
Create roaming profiles for users
SQL Server
Install, deploy and connect to the SQL instance
Configure the SQL maintenance
Create a back-up and restore plan
Exchange Server
Install Exchange Server
Configure Outlook, Outlook Web Access and Exchange Control Panel Connectivity
Successfully test the mail flow: to a user, to a dynamic distribution group, to a shared mailbox with full access permissions
System Center Configuration Manager
Install SCCM
Deploy an application (package) to the clients
Collect inventory information from clients
