Study Visit: Print and Pattern
A study visit exploring the changes in print and pattern design through textiles from Gawthorpe Textiles Collection.
This study visit will give you the opportunity to examine some beautiful items from our collection up close. The focus of this session will be on the changing designs and methods of production used in printed textiles from the mid 18th century to the mid 20th century.
The session will be guided by the collection's Curator who will talk you through each set of objects and point out interesting details about their design and techniques used to produce them.
If you are interested in historical fabrics this is a great chance to get to see some original historic pieces up close, learn more about them and meet other people who share your interest.
