Welcome to Freshwalks, bringing together North West business people through the simple combination of walking and talking. This time we are heading back to Styal Country Park - a perfect entry level walk for Freshwalkers of all abilities and especially those with limited time to join us. Please note that though we'd describe this route as flat there are some very occasional slightly strenuous up and down (steps) sections. You can take your time though!

We intend to meet in the car park of The Ship Inn from 10.15 and start the walk no later than 10.30.  You might want to take the 09.30 train from Manchester Piccadilly due to arrive at Styal station 10.09 (only a few minutes walk away).

We'll enjoy a glorious riverside walk as we network along the Bollin Valley and the historic estate around Quarry Bank Mill. Discovering the woodland landscape we plan to loop out close to the runway at Manchester Airport and back again towards Styal Country Park. We expect to arrive back in Styal village close to 12.30 where we'll head to The Ship Inn for refreshments and some optional lunch where you can continue to network into the afternoon at your own leisure.

Don't forget, you will need to wear some appropriate footwear and bring a bottle of water but we'll send out detailed information in the week before the walk.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, you're fine as you are. We keep track of the attendees and check you off on arrival. However, if you have a confirmation email saved onto your phone, this may be useful on the rare occasion that there are any issues.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

If you can no longer make it, please be sure to contact us. We try to be as accommodating as possible and understand that work commitments may pop up. Therefore, if you do need to transfer your ticket to a colleague, please contact us with their details to transfer this asap.
