Subhash Viman Gorania
Subhash is a postmodern South Asian choreographer and dancer whose work blends Indian classical, urban, and contemporary styles with provocative humour and a distinctive, playful edge. His movement language is rooted in dynamic physicality, floorwork, swift spins, expressive gesture, and strong theatrical presence.
Trained in Bharatanatyam with Chitraleka Bolar and Chaaya Kanavate, and Kathak with Nilima Devi MBE and Asha Joglekar, Subhash has also recently incorporated Silambam, a South Indian martial art of stick movement, into his practice, expanding his vocabulary through rhythm, precision, and agility.
His performance credits include The Troth – Usne Kaha Tha (Akademi / Gary Clarke), winner of the Herald Angel Award, Ecstasy for the German tour of Get on the Good Foot, and God’s Little Soldier at Theater Freiburg. He is currently touring Little Murmur internationally with Aakash Odedra Company, having performed over 150 shows worldwide.
